PURPOSE:To make a remarkable point of a stereo pattern easy to see through simple operation by calculating a line-of-sight vector as the mean value of normal vectors to surfaces constituting a solid body. CONSTITUTION:This solid figure display device is provided with a three-dimensional solid data memory 4, three-dimensional display control section 5 for displaying the figure of a solid body, screen enlargement control section 6 which enlarges or contracts a displaying figure, CRT 2 for displaying solid figures, mean normal vector calculating section 7 for calculating the mean value of normal vectors to surfaces constituting a solid body, and line-of-sight vector storing memory 8 which stores line-of-sight data. Then the mean value of unit normal vectors to surfaces on the front side is calculated within a target area after a target extent is indicated with a mouse 1 and adopted as a line-of-sight vector. Then a viewpoint changing display is performed on the basis of the adopted line-of-sight vector and the indicated extent and the target extent is simultaneously enlarged. Since the enlargement of a tree-dimensional figure and a viewpoint change can be performed simultaneously, the operation can be simplified and rewriting of a display can be performed by one time of operation only. In addition, the moving distance of a cursor can be minimized and the processing time can be reduced. |
