A bearing arrangement for the drive shaft of a bevel gear in a machine part, in particular in the vertical milling head of a milling machine, a bearing sleeve (16) surrounding the drive shaft (9) being fastened to the bevel gear (10), which bearing sleeve (16) is mounted in the machine part via two outer bearings (14, 15) at an axial distance apart.
