A method, wherein at least two metal members different in laser reflection factor are superimposed on each other and laser is applied in the direction of the superimposition to thereby weld the said two metal members to each other, comprises a process of superimposing the first metal member on the second metal member. Here, the first member has a first laser reflection factor and the second metal member has a second laser reflection factor lower than the first laser reflection factor, and these first and second metal members are superimposed on each other through a metal layer. This metal layer is less easily melted by the laser than the second metal member. The method further comprises a process of applying the laser from the side of the first metal member. According to the above-described method, the laser having an output capable of melting the first metal member is applied from the side of the first metal member with a larger laser reflection factor and this output of the laser is more than capable of melting the second metal member, however, the metal layer acts so as to control the input of the laser into the second metal member, whereby the laser is not rapidly inputted to the second metal member, so that explosion of the second metal member can be prevented, thus providing satisfactory welded state. <IMAGE> |
