The proposed ball valve is provided with a valve casing (2) having a spherical plug (1) that is mounted so as to rotate in a seat (10) with which it forms a seal by means of gaskets (3). The bottom of the cavity provided between the plug (1) and the valve casing (2) is connected by means of a duct (4) with the outlet (11) of the valve, said duct (4) extending in such a way so as to be at least slightly inclined with respect to the horizontal. The duct (4) may partially extend in an intermediate collar (8) capable of connecting an existing valve casing (2).
