PURPOSE:To suppress an increase in a circuit scale due to addition of a booster by using a boosting switch element also as a main switch element for supplying power to a load circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 3 is opened and a switch 2 is closed, the low voltage side terminal of a boosting capacitor 8 is raised to a power source voltage while a power source voltage remains between both the terminals of the capacitor 8, and hence the high voltage side terminal of the capacitor 8 is boosted to a voltage of double of the power source voltage. Further, since a boosting rectifier 7 is reversely biased at this time point, a boosting capacitor 10 is charged through a boosting rectifier 8. Accordingly, a voltage of about double of the power source voltage is eventually generated at the output terminal 11. |
