摘要 PURPOSE:To improve startability at low temperature start-up time when its start-up is detected as the low temperature start-up by carrying out fuel injection from fuel injectors so as to be divided into plural times. CONSTITUTION:A reservoir tank 16, to which a fuel tank 18 is connected through a low pressure pump 20 and a high pressure pump 22, is connected to fuel injectors 14 in respective cylinders so as to supply fuel there through respective fuel passages 30, and since the fuel injectors 14 carry out divided injection of the fuel in one stroke of the respective cylinders, the injectors equipped with piezoelectric elements are used therefor. Furthermore, though the fuel injectors 14 and the high pressure pump 22 are operated/controlled by means of a control circuit 120 according to engine operating condition signals from respective sensors, in this control, when its start-up is detected as the low temperature start-up by means of a low temperature start-up time detecting means, fuel injection from the fuel injectors 14 is controlled so as to be divided into plural times. Thereby, evaporation of the fuel can be promoted, and startability at low temperature time can be heightened.
