PURPOSE:To obtain an epoxy resin composition used for insulation coating of electric and electronic parts and capable of applying vivid printing to the coating surface by laser irradiation by adding nickel formate to an epoxy resin composition. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition obtained by adding (C) 0.5-20 pts.wt. (based on the composition) nickel formate, preferably having >=100mum average particle diameter to an epoxy resin composition containing (A) an epoxy resin (e.g. bisphenol A type epoxy resin or phenol novolak type epoxy resin), (B) a curing agent and a curing accelerator (e.g. acid anhydride or imidazole compound) and as necessary, a filler (e.g. crystalline silica powder or alumina power), pigments, etc. When the composition is irradiated with laser, the component C therein is decomposed and converted into nickel oxide. Thereby color of the irradiated resin composition is charged form pale green to black to enable vivid printing. |
