PURPOSE:To change glossiness and chronmaticity and to obtain an image having high quality by controlling a fixing temperature when the image is fixed on a recording material. CONSTITUTION:First, monitor color information from a host computer 21 is inputted into a converting circuit 22 and converted into a chromaticity coordinate, inputted into one of comparators 25 as color information 22a, and compared with color information 24a from a converting circuit 24, and an error information 25a is inputted into a difference correcting circuit 26. On the other hand, an image reader 23 reads the image formed by the fixing means 28, in advance, and outputted into the converting circuit 24. The circuit 26 sends the error information 25a that the properties of the device 28 are considered to a fixing temperature control circuit 27 as fixing temp. information 26a for setting a difference at zero, or minimizing it by a correcting table carrying out the converting into the fixing temperature information, and the circuit 27 controls the fixing temperature of the device 28 at every main scanning lines. Thus, the error information of the monitor color information and image color information on the recording material, is converted into the fixing temperature information, the chromaticity and glossiness of the image on the recording material are controlled, on the fixing device, and image reproducibility with respect to the image on a monitor can be improved. |
