PURPOSE:To provide the title composition having a combination of high platelet and blood coagulation inhibitory activity, containing, as active ingredient, a protein with a specific amino acid sequence in at least part thereof. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition containing, as active ingredient, a protein with an amino acid sequence of the formula in at least part thereof. Said amino acid sequence corresponds to that of a portion considered to be important for protease inhibitory activity in a region with such activity in a senile maculoamyloid precursor protein. The protein having said amino acid sequence highly inhibits blood coagulation factor X1a, also having cell proliferation stimulative activity. The present composition is useful for preventing reobstruction after PTCR or PTCA, therapies of thrombosis in the heart etc., and preventing the relapse of cerebral infarction after its attack and its therapy, being also useful for therapies of disseminated intravascular coagulation due to various basal diseases (e.g. serious infectious diseases, malignant tumors). |
