PURPOSE:To enable simple and rapid selection of a locking arrangement of a cleat against a pedal shaft by arranging locking bodies for locking the cleat on each of two treads of a pedal body and by making arrangement of the cleat against the pedal shaft different between each of the treads. CONSTITUTION:On each of two supporting shafts 7 provided at a pedal body 2 rotatably supported by a pedal shaft 1, two kinds of locking bodies 4 and 5 are supported in capable of fluctuation by the supporting shafts 7 in order to lock and release the lock of a cleat 3 attached to the bottom of a shoe S for fixing the shoe S to a pedal for bicycle. At this time, the locking bodies 4 and 5 are arranged so that a distance L2 from the end of the pedal shaft 1 to the center of the locked cleat 3 on a lower tread 2b is larger than the same distance on an upper tread 2a. By this, arrangement of the shoe S against the pedal shaft 1 can be rapidly changed by selecting the surface of the tread, which enables rational pedaling according to the situation in a simple manner. |
