PURPOSE:To restrain the out-of-plane bending deformation of a belt for decreasing the amount of lift by increasing the stress due to the deformation of a shape-memory-alloy filament which has been twisted together inside a belt cord, when the temperature of the belt rises during high-speed traveling, so that the apparent modulus of elasticity can be increased. CONSTITUTION:A belt 7 of a tire is made up of an outside belt ply 7A and an inside belt ply 7B, and is formed by embedding, inside a topping rubber, a large number of belt cords 70 arranged in parallel so as to have prescribed angles theta1, theta2 in the opposite directions to each other with regard to the circumferential direction of the tire and a prescribed gap. And the belt cord 70 is formed by twisting together a filament 701 formed by at least one shape-memory alloy and a plurality of steel filaments 702. When the temperature of the belt 7 rises during high-speed traveling, the filament 701 made of a shape-memory alloy is deformed, while this deformation is restrained by the steel filaments 702. Thus, the stress and the apparent modulus of elasticity of the shape- memory-alloy filament 701 are increased respectively.
