The invention concerns a contact for electrical devices, especially for high-voltage switchgear, consisting of two jaws attached to each other made of a conducting material, the jaws are equipped with at least one axial opening driven through both jaws, meant for insertion of jaws connecting element, characterised in that in the opening (3) at least two strikers (4, 5) are placed, which supporting the press-down string (6), suspended on jaws (1, 2) and located on two planes shifted at an angle one in relation to the other, with one striker (4) suspended on one jaw (1) supports the tip of the spring (6) located on the other jaw's side (2), while the other striker (5) is suspended on the other jaw (2) and supports the tip of the spring (6) located on the first jaw's side (1).<IMAGE>
