发明名称 PRODUCTION OF OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTING MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a bulky oxide superconducting material having high critical current density, superior strength and durability at a low cost by hot working starting material contg. the constituent elements of an oxide superconductor and Ag or Ag oxide at a temp. at which a crystal phase coexists with a liq. phase. CONSTITUTION:Starting materials contg. the constituent elements of an oxide superconductor such as powders of Y2O3, BaCO3 and CuO are calcined and pulverized to produce calcined powder. This powder is mixed with Ag or Ag oxide powder and filled into a pipe-shaped sheath, etc. The resulting temporarily molded body is heated together with the sheath and rolling is repeatedly carried out at a temp. at which a crystal phase such as Y2BaCuO5 coexists with a liq. phase such as 3BaCuO2+2CuO while turning the sheath. The crystal and liq. phases are brought into a smooth peritectic reaction, a superconducting phase such as YBa2Cu3O7-x can continuously be grown and an oxide superconducting material having high critical current density and fit for a power-transmission line, etc., can be produced.
