PURPOSE:To make a gap between a pair of strip lips smaller by a method wherein, when a corner piece having a glass run comprising a pair of strip lips is molded, the corner piece is molded, the strip lips being connected by means of a core, and thereafter the connected part is cut off by the core. CONSTITUTION:When a corner piece comprising a body 1 and an attaching part, in which a glass run 7 having a pair of strip lips 5 is formed in the body 1, is formed, the exterior of the lips 5 am formed by a pair of split molds 21, 22, while the ends of the lips 5 are connected to each other and the interior thereof are formed by a core 24. Supporting parts protruding to the sides of a product cavity are provided on the upper lower parts of the core 24, which are held by the molds 21, 22. A small gap is provided between the end 26a of a lip forming part 26 and the outer forming surface of the lips 5. Elastomer material is injected into the cavity 23 and a molded item is taken out after molding. When the core 24 is taken out of the item, since the thickness of the connected part of the lips 5 is thin, the end strip part 26a of the core 24 is cut. |
