PURPOSE:To make it impossible to move a web widthwise so as to apply tension to the web always evenly by providing detectors which detect positions for fitting-in of the web in U form so as to control the operation of the drawing-out part on the side surface extending from an opening to a suction port. CONSTITUTION:A specified tension is applied to web A by drawing it in U form inward within a suction chamber 2 due to a negative pressure caused by the suction through a suction port 2b. And then, along with intermittent drawing-out of web A, web A1 in U form is drawn out from the downstream side of the opening 2a, being positioned widthwise, so that the fitting-in depth of web A1 in U form being shallow is detected by detectors 3. Accordingly, a drawing-out section 1 is started in the operation to draw out web A, so that the fitting-in depth of web A1 in U form can be kept at a constant level. |
