<p>PURPOSE:To prevent abnormal locking and seizing in a clutch device of a differential limitting device by constituting a cam to connect a friction clutch so that contact points move between cam surfaces and parallel surfaces because of deflection of an energizing member caused by thrust force. CONSTITUTION:When a pilot clutch 77 has been engaged and differential torque in a differential mechanism 45 acts upon a cam 97, leftward thrust force 111 and rightward thrust force 113 act upon cam surfaces 107 and parallel surfaces 109 of the cam 97 respectively. And, differential limitting force is intensified because a main clutch 63 is pressed against a differential case 25 by the leftward thrust force 111 through carriers 53, 55 and shims 65. And, when transmitted torque becomes too large in an abnormal state of the pilot clutch 77, a disc spring 103 is deformed by the rightward thrust force 113, and a cam interval increases from t1 to t2. In this way, a ball 95 moves from the cam surfaces 107 to the parallel surfaces 109. Thus, it ispossible to limit the thrust force within a certain value.</p> |
