PURPOSE:To prevent the wrong use of a card on which the balance is 0 by writing a reuse inhibition code in the data storage zone of a prepaid card by a read/write device at the time of balance 0. CONSTITUTION:When the balance in the card is 0, the card abandonment processing is performed. In this processing, an instruction is outputted from a controller 9 to a read/write device 7 to write data of a specific code which inhibits the reuse, namely, data, which makes 0 of all data columns, in a data storage zone MS of the prepaid card. Consequently, the card cannot be used because being subjected to the abandonment processing though the use to another device is tried. Since the code to inhibit the reuse is written in the data storage zone MS of the card where the balance is 0 in this manner, the wrong use of this card is prevented. |
