PURPOSE:To supply the prescribed quantity of a molten metal for short time while easily adjusting the temp. without contaminating the molten metal by providing an induction melting facility having a floating up coil as melting device. CONSTITUTION:Just above a mold, the floating-up coil 11 and a coil 12 for induction melting, are arranged so that the axes become rotation center and connected with power source unit through water cooled cables, respectively. The coil system is adjusted so as to always position at just above the mold with a lifting mechanism. The necessary base material is set into the coil system and the melting is executed in a floating-up condition and this temp. is raised to the prescribed casting temp. by the means of optical pyrometer, etc. At the time of arriving at the prescribed temp., electric current to the floating up coil is turned off and the molten metal is dropped into the mold 9 rotated at the prescribed rotational speed and the necessary quantity of the molten metal is supplied for short time. |
