PURPOSE:To alter a previously stored accompaniment pattern easily and temporarily by deciding that a chord root and a chord type are inputted within a specific time in a measure and performing control corresponding to the decision. CONSTITUTION:Control over the whole operation is performed by using a central processing operation (CPU) 10. When it is decided that the chord root and chord type are inputted with a chord specifying operation element 22 within the specific period in the measure, a specific accompaniment pattern is read out according to the inputted chord to sound generation, the state is held until the end of the specific period, and a read of the accompaniment pattern which is carried out so far is interrupted to quit the sound generation. After the end of the specific period, a read of the accompaniment pattern based upon sound generation timing is restarted according to the inputted chord. Consequently, the accompaniment pattern which is stored previously can be altered temporarily without providing any special operation element. |
