The control unit allows a central processing unit and a bit operation processing unit to be operated at the same time to improve the data processing speed. The control unit includes a first bus group (16,17) for connecting a CPU (10) and a first memory group (14-26), a second bus group (31,32) for connecting a bit operation processing unit (11) and a second memory group (27,28), a bus controller (20,21) for separating the first bus group (16,17) from the second bus group (31,32) according to control signal transmitted from a CPU (10) a read/write signal controllers (22,23) for sending read/write signal to a second memory group (27,28) according to control signal transmitted from a CPU (10).
