PURPOSE:To repair damaged parts in the refractory material-lined torpedo ladle car and to extend the life of the torpedo ladle car by compounding silicon carbide, silica flour, alumina cement, thermoplastic phenol resin and alumina refractory aggregate. CONSTITUTION:This reparing material for a torpedo ladle car consists of 5-30wt.% silicon carbide, 1-6wt.% silica flour, 2-10wt.% alumina cement, and the balance alumina refractory aggregate. To this reparing material, pitch coke and carbon black can be incorporated by <=10wt.%. Or, further, a frit can be added by <=5wt.%. The pitch coke and carbon black give the effect of improving the corrosion resistance by the interaction of the carbon component thereof and carbide of the thermoplastic phenol resin. The frit has an effect of preventing oxidization of pitch coke, carbon black and silicon carbide in the reparing agent. |
