PURPOSE:To execute the application software of a client regardless of fault even if a system itself has the trouble by recovering a window server to the state of the application software right before the abnormal end of the window server when the window server is restarted without ending the application software in the case of the abnormal end of the window server. CONSTITUTION:If the window server 3 ends abnormally owing to the fault, protocol control demons 4 and 5 detect the abnormal end of the window server 3. The protocol control demons are stored with all protocols sent from all clients and returned resource values. Then when the window server 3 is restarted, that is detected and the protocol control demon 4 sends a protocol stored in a protocol history table 6 to the window server 3 so as to recover the window server 3 to the state right before the abnormal end. Consequently, application programs 9, 10, and 11 can carry on processes without being affected by the trouble. |
