The CPU of the apparatus finds the target disk utilizing photo intrrupter and preset home position and detects the existancy of a disk utilizing an additional photo-interrupter depositing one side of wing of a carrousel. The circuit includes a CPU (1), a motor driver (MD) for rotating the carrousel, a carrousel (CARR) for inserting compact disks, a sensor (3) for detecting the rotation or the stop of the CARR, a transmitter (5) for transmitting signal of the sensor (3) to the CPU (1), and LED (LED) for displaying the signal. Slots (S,S') are formed at wing of the CARR (2) ann are detected by photo interrupters (S1-S3). A photo interrupter (S4) is deposited at one side of the CARR to detect the existancy of compact disk in the slot.
