PURPOSE:To transfer stored charges in a short time by transferring the stored charges in plural photodetectors in previously decided order, and controlling the start and the finish of the storage of the charge in every photodetector so that next stored charge may be transferred after the stored charge in previous transfer order is transferred. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with plural charge storage type photodetectors 102 which receive a luminous flux guided by a focus detecting optical system 101 from plural focus detecting areas, a transfer means 103 which converts the stored charge into an electrical signal so as to transfer to a focus detecting arithmetic means 104 after finishing the storage of the charges in the photodetector 102, and also a control means 105. The control means 105 controls so that the stored charge of the photodetector 102 may be transferred in the previously decided order of the photodetector 102 and controls the start and the finish of the storage of the charge in every photodetector 102 so that the next stored charge in the photodetector 102 may be transferred after the stored charge of in the photodetector 102 in the previous transfer order is transferred. Thus, the stored charge in each photodetector 102 is orderly transferred in a short time. |
