<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the configuration of a circuit processing part, and simultaneously, to facilitate the alteration of a subscriber interface by providing a subscriber's line terminating part to be the edge of an ATM switchboard with a protocol converting part to convert the protocol of the subscriber of an existing interface into an ATM protocol. CONSTITUTION:In the case of the subscriber of the existing interface, its signal.information is inputted to the subscriber's line terminating part 1, and physical termination is executed at a terminating part 4. Then, the high-order protocol of this signal.information is terminated by an existing protocol network side function 5b, and further, the protocol of the existing interface is converted into the ATM protocol by an ATM converting function 5c. In the circuit processing part 2, this signal.information is separated into the signal and the information by an ATM switch 7 similarly to the case of an ATM subscriber. Namely, in the circuit processing part 2, the signal processing of the ATM protocol is executed in spite of the difference of subscriber interfaces.</p> |
