Device for cutting the tabs on packages of the "bricks" (carton) type and the corner of food sachets. The invention relates to a device which enables the tabs on packages of the "bricks" type and the corners of sachets to be cut easily and without the risk of injury, so as to allow their contents to be poured out. It consists of a casing (1) on a base (16) which has a projection (17) revealing an opening (20) into which the articles to be cut (18) are inserted. When the user exerts a force on the button (9) counter to that of the spring (8), the pin (7) is pushed down, pushing down the support (5) and the cutter (4) which presses on and cuts the tab (18) or the corner of the sachet (18) which then falls into a drawer (3). The device according to the invention is designed for opening packages of the "bricks" type and food sachets. <IMAGE>
