The coil assembly is located in a recess (1) in the cylinder head cover via a thermally insulating insert (4) shaped to reach into the shaft leading to the plug connector. Its upper end is thermally bonded to the cooling fin structure (8) on top of the coil. The sides of the coil have a bonding layer (7) connection to the heat shield. An air gap (5) is incorporated inside the heat shield and linked to the top of the coil by air ducts (5.1). ADVANTAGE - Cooler operation.
