The transport vehicle is particularly for large area upright sheet glass packets on A-frames. After loading these in the vehicle, fixing mechanisms on the lengthwise frame members secure them in position, these having flat rectangular arms pressed against the packets by ram operated linkages. - The linkages (25) are pendulum mounted on a bracket (28) on the lengthwise frame member, and slide on the arms (21) at the lowermost third of the latter.
