PURPOSE:To obtain a non-interrupting power supply apparatus which suppresses a power factor degradation accompanying by the control of a battery charging rate by a method wherein a self-extinguishing type device is employed as the main circuit switching device of an electronic power rectifier and the control angle of an ignition delay and the control angle of an extinction lead are the same against a voltage phase and the power factor of a fundamental wave component of the electronic power rectifier is always maintained at 1. CONSTITUTION:A power rectifier 11 has a self-extinguishing type device (for instance GTO and power transistor) as its main circuit switching device and performs current control with ON/OFF of the device itself. The main circuit switching device of the power rectifier 11 is turned on with a delay of a control angle beta against a voltage V and turned off with a control angle pi-beta. With this process, a current (i) which gives a necessary average output voltage is obtained. At that time, the power factor of a fundamental wave component is always 1 and, when the straining control of a battery charging rate control is performed, the power factor is also maintained at 1. With this constitution, a power factor degradation caused by battery charge suppression can be suppressed. |
