A frame (5) is provided which supports the assembly straight edge (2), and is vertically regulatable for the height adjustment of the holder arrangement (3). Fitted to the holder arrangement or to the frame is a device (6) for the horizontal, vertical and angular adjustment and alignment of the assembly straight edge. The alignment casing (4) with a corresp. water connection (7) are aligned for final fixation by the adjustment and alignment device (6). The assembly straight edge (2) can have two alignment casings (4) for which there are accommodation points (8) in the holder arrangement (3). USE - For the assembly of water pipe installations.
