Disclosed is a control unit for the regulation of the flow cross-section of a feed line, in particular a feed line for an internal-combustion engine. The control unit has three assemblies: a regulator-unit housing (13) with a flow channel (14) and a gate (24), an armature (30) with a rotary sliding obturator (25) for regulating the gate aperture, and a drive-unit housing (33) with a stator (28) and stator winding (29). In order to be able to regulate selectively the air gap between the obturator (25) and the gate (24), that section (251) of the obturator (25) covering the gate aperture (24) has the shape of a segment of a conical shell inclined at an acute angle to the axis of rotation of the armature. The gate (24) lies in the plane of the hollow-conical segment and is inclined at the same angle. A spacer washer (42) between the armature (30), with the obturator (25) attached to it, and the regulator-unit housing (13) enables the required air gap to be selectably and permanently set.
