<p>PURPOSE:To easily judge the selection state of a remote control code by displaying a character corresponding to the code selected by a remote control unit onto a display device when a code selected by the magnetic recording and reproducing device is different from a code selected by the remote control unit. CONSTITUTION:When the operator selects a remote control code changeover switch 17 of a remote control unit 16 and makes transmission to the magnetic recording and reproducing device 20, a microcomputer 1 compares a code selected by the magnetic recording and reproducing device 20 with a code sent from the remote control unit 16 and discriminates the sent code when they differ and outputs a remote control code discrimination output 6, and controls a character signal generator 3 and a video image/message changeover switch 4. Then the information relating to the remote control code extracted by a character storage means 2 is read and converted into a character signal by the character signal generator 3 and displayed on a screen of a cathode ray tube or the like of a television monitor 18. Thus, the operator confirms the selection of the remote control unit.</p> |
