Folding vehicle roof sealing system - moves seal sideways and inwards from window pane on opening

The sealing system is for a folding vehicle-roof, having a seal on the latter bearing against the edge of a side window-pane when both are shut. On opening, a pin (8) working in a guide track (6) moves the outer part (10) of the seal (4) sideways towards the inside. Where the seal bears against the rear edge of the shut pane and this slopes inwards towards the top, the outer part concerned can be that which bears against the rear pane edge at the bottom. ADVANTAGE - Reduces stowage space required for open roof.
