Computer assisted designed data input system - uses stored data relating to cast component for subsequent machining

The data input system allows data relating to the contours and the external surfaces of a cast component to be stored, defining the min. size and wall thickness of the component within defined tolerance limits (15). The latter are used for subsequent mfr. of the casting tool (10) such that the max. wall thickness (13, 14) of the tool is retained. USE/ADVANTAGE - Fully automated mfr. of car body components etc., with improved operation.
