Acrylic roof light dome - has polycarbonate safety sheet to prevent objects falling through in case of breakage

A roof light dome has a flat pane of polycarbonate or similar material extending beyond the dome rim and the supporting frame. A fixing device holds the rim of the flat pane. The fixing device can have screws which go through the rim of the flat pane. Pref. light dome has two rectangular acrylic domes held apart by a spacer. Below the lower acrylic dome is a flat polycarbonate sheet held by screws. The dome is carried on a hinge and can be opened as a unit. USE/ADVANTAGE - The addn. of a strong flat pane prevents falls or objects dropped in case anyone working on the roof breaks the acrylic light dome.
