<p>PURPOSE:To interrupt surge coming from the main bus in operation by opening an externally drivable disconnector connected between the branch points of gas insulated switchgear which are connected to the respective buses through respective disconnectors. CONSTITUTION:A gas insulated switchgear is connected through a circuit breaker 1 with an external circuit (not shown) and main buses 5, 6 are connected through disconnectors 7, 8 with respective branch points 3, 4 of an internal connecting conductor 2. Furthermore, an externally drivable disconnector 10 is connected between the branch points 3, 4. When external circuits following to the circuit breaker 1 are extended or modified, the main bus 5 close to the circuit breaker 1 is stopped while the main bus 6 remote from the circuit breaker 1 is operated and the disconnector 10 is opened along with the disconnector 8. Consequently, the main bus 6 and the circuit breaker 1 are opened electrically at two points and an excessive surge occurring on the main bus 6 is blocked from entering into the circuit breaker 1 side thus making it possible to perform work safely in the downstream of the circuit breaker 1.</p> |
