The CD recording or playback system has the electric music signals representing a piece of music handled by 2 different amplification channels, with recombining of the signals after amplification. Pref. the music signals in the HF and LF ranges are modified, e.g. by reducing signals below 100 Hz and above 1000 Hz by a factor of 2 or 3 w.r.t. the MF range. The signals from the 2 channels may be recombined by simple addition. ADVANTAGE - Improved sound quality.
