PURPOSE:To obtain an optical pickup shielding device which can accurately replace information with a disk without resonance of a pickup and does not need an excess force even if the pickup is moved by providing the shielding device separately from the pickup. CONSTITUTION:A device for shielding a laser light entrance/exit of a pickup 2 is provided separately from the pickup 2. A hanger has a shielding plate 10 provided in an information reader of the pickup 2, having a size covering an opening 2c for emitting and receiving a laser light and made of a flat plate of a square shape covering the opening 2c to cover the upper side of the opening 2c, in parallel with the surface of the opening 2c. Thus, when the pickup 2 is particularly operated at a high speed, useless resonance is not generated at the pickup 2, information can be stably replaced with a disk, construction of the pickup 2 is facilitated, and the weight of the pickup 2 is not increased. |
