摘要 The slubbing change and splicing appts. with two pads, where one carries the prodn. slubbing and the other has the reserve slubbing, the second pad has a slit for a pin to pass through against the first pad. The sliding guide intersects with the slit and position is determined by the opposing setting of the pads. In an initial setting, the pin clamps the reserve slubbing against a clamping surface at the second pad and, on movement of the second pad on the first, the clamping surface is freed and the free end of the reserve slubbing can be released behind the pin in the direction of production slubbing travel. The emerging end of the prodn. slubbing is pressed between the splicing surface of the second pad and the splicing surface of the first pad to be carried through. ADVANTAGE - The appts. is compact and fits easily between neighbouring spinning stations, where the reserve is simply clamped in the operating position to be released in the splicing position.
