<p>An elevator system includes an elevator car adapted to travel between a plurality of elevator landings and a call device at each landing in electrical communication with an elevator control system. The call device has an actuator surface and display means visible on or through the actuator surface for displaying an indication of the location, speed and/or direction of motion of the elevator car relative to the landing upon which the call device is located. In preferred embodiments, the display means provide additional information for the guidance and greater understanding of the elevator user, with particular regard to the elevator's activity or projected activity.</p> |
