Each sensor is releasably held on the cylinder of a piston-cylinder unit. The fixture (1) includes a clamping element (17) of elastic qualities and fitting a retaining section formed in the cylinder. The element (17) has a sensor receptor (3) releasably accepting the sensor or at least a part of it. A tensioning device (26) presses the element (17) so that it has a tendency to widen in the outer circumferential region of the retaining section and to reduce the cross-sectional area of the receptor (3). ADVANTAGE - Prevents falling out or failure due to vibration. Easy fitting of both sensor and holder on cylinder concerned.
