PURPOSE:To undertake an even distribution of temperature and a decrease in an unit rate of fuel consumption in a soaking pit with a minimum alteration on an existing pit constituted of two rooms standing in parallel, by the method, wherein a partition wall in each room is partially opened, constituting a two-room-connected combustion room, and burners and exhaust gas inlet ports of each room are arranged in a reverse direction in each other, and changed alternately for combustion. CONSTITUTION:In soaking pits 1 standing parallely with one side burning above, a partition wall 7 is partially opened at its both ends, connecting combustion rooms A and B, and burners 21, 22 and inlet ports (a), (b) of waste gas in each room are arranged in reverse direction in each other. In heating, combustion is started by the burner 21 of the room A and waste gas is discharged from the inlet port (b), then after a definite time, the burner 21 is closed, changing the burner 22 for combustion and waste gas is discharged from the inlet port (a), closing the port (b). Since, then, in each definite time, combustion is alternately changed to each other to raise temperature inside the pit 1. As a result, a flow of combustion gas becomes as shown in arrows, thus enhancing convection effect and even distribution of temperature inside the pit. |
