PURPOSE:To obtain a hydrogen storage alloy electrode capable of occluding sufficient hydrogen at ordinary temp. and increased in discharge capacitance by constituting the electrode of a hydrogen storage alloy having a specific composition consisting of Zr, Ti, V, Ni, Fe, Co, and Mn. CONSTITUTION:This electrode is a hydrogen storage alloy electrode consisting of a hydrogen storage alloy represented by general formula Zr1-aTia(V0.33+xNi0.67-x-bAb)z+c (where A means at least one element among Fe, Co, and Mn, 0<=a<=0.7, -0.05<x<0.07, 0<b<=0.4, 0<=c<=1) or hydride thereof and is capable of electrochemically occluding and releasing hydrogen when used as cathode in secondary battery, etc. The hydrogen storage alloy electrode of the above composition can occlude sufficient hydrogen at ordinary temp. and has high discharge capacitance. |
