PURPOSE:To precisely control the running operation with a simple structure by controlling a driving voltage applied to a piezoelectric element, and moving a moving member by utilizing the inertial force of an inertial body at the time of extending and contracting the piezoelectric element in its axial direction and a frictional force received by the moving member. CONSTITUTION:When a high driving voltage is momentarily applied to a piezoelectric element P to quickly extend the piezoelectric element, a moving body M and an inertial body (m) are simultaneously moved in opposite directions, and the moving body M is moved forward by a distance m1 while receiving a dynamic frictional force. When the applied voltage to the piezoelectric element P is reduced to contract the piezoelectric element P, and the inertial body (m) is slowly pulled back on the moving body M side, the moving body M is reduced in speed so that it is held by the frictional force with a base B and stopped. When the electrification is quickly stopped to quickly stop the movement of the inertial body (m), the inertial body (m) is collided with the moving body M, and the whole of a self-running device overcomes the frictional force, starts advancing, moves until the kinetic energy is lost by the dynamic frictional force of the moving body M, and stops. Thus, it is moved forward by a distance m2. |
