PURPOSE:To perform high speed operation of a mold clamping device and to shorten the operating cycle by providing a back pressure chamber for cushion and a gap for throttling between the rear piston of the same prefilling piston, a mold clamping cylinder and a booster ram. CONSTITUTION:A projection 6a is provided as a cushion A when a prefilling piston 6 is moved forward, and a back pressure chamber (a) and an annular gap (b) are formed between the piston 6 and a mold clamping cylinder 1. A back pressure chamber (c) and an annular gap (d) are formed between the piston 6 and a booster ram 3 as a cushion B when the piston 6 is moved backward. When the piston 6 approaches the forward or backward end, oil in the chamber (a) or (c) flows like a broken line. The oil at this time is throttled at the gap (b) or (d) to produce a back pressure, thereby operating a brake effect to prevent the collision at a high speed. |
