PURPOSE:To ensure the safety of passengers by outputting a collision detection signal when both two judging circuits different in judging element judge a collision. CONSTITUTION:An acceleration sensor 1 generates an output according to the magnitude of the acceleration added to a wheel, and this output is inputted to first and second judging circuits 3, 4 through a LPF 2. In the first judging circuit 3, the output of the LPF 2 is integrated by an integrator 31, and its output is compared with a threshold V1. When the output of the integrator 31 is higher, a signal of level 'H' is outputted. On the other hand, in the second judging circuit 4, the output of the LPF 2 is compared with a threshold V2, and when the output of the LPF 2 is larger than the threshold V2, the signal of level 'H' is outputted. When both the first and second judging circuits 3, 4 output the signals of level 'H', a collision is judged, and a gate circuit 5 outputs a collision detection signal. Thus, the passengers can be protected from the shock of the collision. |
