PURPOSE:To protect the passengers from the shock of a collision by operating a safety device only when first and second judging circuits connected to first and second acceleration sensors, respectively, judge the collision. CONSTITUTION:The output of an integrator 2 is compared with a threshold V1 by a comparator 3 to take the build-up of the output of an acceleration (G) sensor 1 at the time of the collision of a vehicle, and when the output of the integrator 2 is higher than the threshold V1, a signal of level H is outputted. This output is reversed by an inverter 18 and made to level L, and a transistor 19 is laid in ON state. On the other hand, the output of a G sensor 20 is integrated by an integrator 21, its output is compared with a preset threshold by a comparator 22, and when the output of the integrator 21 is higher than the threshold, the comparator 22 outputs the output signal of level H, and a transistor 23 is laid in ON state. Only when both the transistors 19, 23 are laid in ON state, an ignition device 24 is started to expand an air bag. Thus, the passengers can be protected from the shock of the collision. |
