PURPOSE:To maintain the uniform transportability of a toner layer to a development roller and stable electrification characteristics, and enable stable development characteristics and high quality image characteristics to be obtained by mixing two different types of nonmagnetic one-component toner having a different mean particle size and a different amount of electrification control additives. CONSTITUTION:Toner containing a large amount of electrification control additives in a large particle size distribution of low electrification capability, is mixed with toner containing a small amount of electrification control additives in a small particle size distribution of high electrification capability, thereby enabling the supply of toner having sharp electrification distribution capable of matching a development condition. Consequently, a refreshment effect on a roller surface is facilitated by reducing a toner distribution having a quality of high coagulation on a development roller and deteriorating development characteristics in a highly electrified zone. Also, the occurrence of toner having reverse polarity can be restrained, thereby obtaining toner of good development characteristics. According to this construction, the electrified distribution of the toner can be made uniform, while maintaining the environmental resistance characteristics thereof, and the uniform transportability of a toner layer to the development roller can be maintained. In addition, high quality image characteristics can be obtained through stable electrification and development characteristics. |
