PURPOSE:To save the labor for checking number of sheets by counting and displaying the number of copies at the continuous copying and storing the number of continuously copied sheets and returning the display to zero at the copying with manual paper feeding, in a continuously copiable copying machine. CONSTITUTION:A control device 200 is provided with a continuous copying counter 205 and a copying counter 206 for manual paper feeding other than a central control unit CPU. A copying sheet number display device 203 usually displays the number of continuous copies. When this continuous copying mode is switched to manual copying mode during the former mode, the display content is stored and the display is returned to zero. The display device 203 counts down by one from the set number of sheets during continuous copying and counts up every one of manual copying.
