<p>PURPOSE:To always discharge a paper bundle under the optimum condition regardless of the size of the paper bundle and the stapling number of recording papers, in a recording paper post-processing apparatus discharging the paper bundle after stapling by a discharge belt having a pawl, by mounting a control means once stopping the discharge belt during the discharge of the paper bundle corresponding to the combination of the size of the paper bundle and the stapling number of the recording papers. CONSTITUTION:The recording paper discharged from an image forming apparatus is sent in a finisher but, when the signal of a job end is received from the image forming apparatus, the size of the recording paper is judged and, in the case of the recording paper of a large size, when the number of the recording papers counted by an inlet sensor SN1 becomes a set number x1 or more, the pawl 46 of a discharge belt 17 is stopped on the basis of the set number Y1 of pulses. When the number of the recording papers is below the set number x1, the discharge belt 17 is stopped on the basis of the set number Y2 of pulses. In the case of the recording paper of a small size, when the number of the recording papers becomes a set number x2 or more, the discharge belt 17 is stopped on the basis of the set number Y3 of pulses. By this method, a paper bundle can be always discharged under the optimum condition and trouble such as the tearing of a rear end, discharge inferiority or the irregularity of a discharge position can be prevented.</p> |
